Hi, I’m Gillian, a travel writer specializing in solo and historical travel. I write travel stories to inspire others to venture out and see the world, and to explore the rich and diverse history and culture of different destinations.

You might have already guessed I’m an avid traveler, but did you know I’m also a proud Caribbean American? Growing up, I lived and breathed the rich and diverse culture of the Caribbean, from the music (calypso and reggae, anyone?) and dance to the food and folklore. I’m also an education enthusiast and strong supporter of mental health causes.

As a travel writer who has lived in seven different countries and visited every continent except Antarctica, I know how to craft stories that connect with diverse audiences. Whether it’s a personal travel essay or a “How To” article, I always include high-quality photos that bring the destination to life.
